The Security Team assists in the magnification and the multiplication of the gospel throughout Seattle to the ends of the earth by stewarding a safe, effective worship environment for our Sunday gatherings.
Members and friends of The Hallows Church community gather for worship every Sunday in a ministry space provided for many seeking hope and redemption.
When our church gathers to worship, and especially when the gospel is proclaimed, the Spirit is working both in the room, and at the forefront of the spiritual battle in our city. That work is disrupted any time a distraction occurs in a gathering. The same is true if any member of the body is distracted by the safety of their children - either from an external threat or through lack of accountability.
Our service each week is to steward a safe, effective environment for worship.
1. Pre-Service Arrival:
Servants on our Security Ministry Team arrive 15 minutes before the service begins to clear the building of unauthorized people or other hazards.
During services, team members are stationed around the building, providing security, guidance, accountability, and occasional pastoral care to anyone who enters.
Cycles of Service
Each Hallows service requires two to three security volunteers who serve every fifth Sunday.
