The Kids Ministry Team assists in the magnification and the multiplication of the gospel through Seattle to the ends of the earth by providing a safe, fun and gospel-centered ministry to kids and their families.
Our Kids Ministry offers an intentional time of discipleship for children and parents, particularly during Sunday worship gatherings. Because Jesus is the heart and soul of our theology (Luke 24), it is His message, the gospel, which informs and transforms everything, including children. We aim, therefore, to provide a Holy Spirit empowered, gospel-centered ministry that enables children to see and embrace the beauty of God's amazing grace as presented throughout all of Scripture.
Volunteers in the classroom assist the lead teacher. They help manage the classroom and lovingly interact with the children and their parents.
Volunteers also help maintain a clean and sanitary classroom and assist with check-in and check-out procedures to ensure the safety of all of our children.
2. Classroom Leads:
Classroom leads ensure that all Kids Ministry policies & procedures are followed, including diaper/restroom policies, sanitary procedures, and check-in/check-out procedures.
Teachers use the provided curriculum to consistently communicate the gospel to the children in their class. The Bible is taught through the lens of creation/fall/redemption/restoration, teaching children to see the Bible as not only as a collection of individual stories or books but as a coherent, true, grand story of redemption. Teachers also ensure that all Kids Ministry policies and procedures are followed, including diaper/restroom policies, sanitary procedures, and check-in/check-out procedures.
4. Admin/Project Coordinators:
Volunteers who are gifted administratively serve 1-2 hours per month with various Kids Ministry projects.
Our Fremont Expression cleaning team prepares the Kids Ministry space each week, ensuring a clean and sanitary classroom for every child. Cleaning begins at 2:00 on Sundays and ends at 3:00. We also need help weekly to tear down and put away the Kids Ministry resources.
Cycles of Service
Kids Ministry team members serve one Sunday each month.
